Terms

How booking works.

Updated:

These terms explain how a private boat day is arranged with us, from the first enquiry to the day on the water. Your written quote sets out the details of your trip and sits alongside them.

Who we are and what we do

El Nido Private Tours plans private boat days in El Nido, Palawan, and arranges them with independent local boat operators and crews. We plan the day with you, send you a quote and stay your point of contact. We do not own the boats, and the operator runs your trip.

Enquiries and quotes

Using the trip planner or messaging us is an enquiry, not a booking. We reply with a written quote that sets out the route, the boat, what is included, which fees are paid on top, and the main conditions of the trip.

A quote is a proposal until you accept it. We may update it if your date, group size or route changes, or if the boat or crew is no longer available.

Booking and payment

Your booking is confirmed when you accept the quote in writing and we confirm the date back to you. Any deposit, how and when to pay, and who receives the payment are set out in the quote before you pay. Keep the written confirmation: it is your record of what was agreed.

Prices and fees

You book a private boat for your group. Starting prices cover a set number of guests, and each extra guest adds a fixed amount. Peak-season supplements may apply, and we confirm your total price for your travel dates before booking. Entrance, environmental, lagoon, kayak and similar fees are set by the municipality or the site operator and are usually paid per person on top. Your quote says whether they are included. Fees and published prices can change.

Changes, cancellations and refunds

Cancellation, rescheduling and refund terms depend on the operator, the route and the season. We state them in your quote before you confirm, and they apply to your booking. If anything is unclear, ask before you pay.

If you need to change or cancel, tell us as early as you can so we can work with the operator on your options.

Weather and safety decisions

The Philippine Coast Guard and local authorities can suspend sea travel, and the crew can change a route, shorten the day or call it off when conditions are unsafe. We do not control the weather or these decisions. If the authorities or the crew cancel your trip because of the weather, you can move it to another available date at no extra charge. If you cannot reschedule, any refund follows the terms in your quote.

Leaving a spare day in your plans is the easiest way to protect your trip.

Routes and timings

The routes, stops and timings on this website are typical ones, as commonly published. They can change with weather, permits, the daily visitor limits at the lagoons, tides and the crew’s judgement on the day. Your crew confirms the final route.

Your responsibilities

  • Give us accurate information about your group: the number of guests, children’s ages, swimming ability and any health conditions the crew should know about.
  • Follow the crew’s instructions, wear a life jacket when asked and take care in the water.
  • Look after your belongings and respect marine life, the reefs and the local rules.
  • Arrange travel insurance that covers boat trips and activities. We recommend it for every guest.
  • Arrive at the meeting point on time and pay any fees that your quote lists as paid on the day.

What we are responsible for

We take care to plan accurately, to describe trips honestly and to match you with an operator whose boat and crew suit your group. The operator is responsible for running the trip safely, including the boat, the crew, the safety equipment and the briefing.

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under Philippine law, including consumer protection law, or excludes responsibility that cannot be excluded. Beyond that, we are not responsible for events outside our reasonable control, such as weather, closures ordered by the authorities and natural events.

This website

The content here is general information. Destination facts such as fees, lagoon rules and seasons come from public sources and can change, so we show them with the date they were checked and confirm what applies to you in your quote. Photography on the site is illustrative and does not show partner boats, crews or guests unless it says so.

Our privacy policy explains how we handle your information.
