Who we are

This website is run by El Nido Private Tours, which plans private boat days in El Nido, Palawan, Philippines, and arranges them with local boat operators. We decide how the information you give us is used, so we are the one to ask about it.

What we collect

We collect only what you choose to send us, and basic visit statistics.

• What you tell us about your trip: your first name, travel dates, group size, children’s ages, where you are staying, extras you would like and any notes.
• Your contact details: the phone number and profile name that come with a WhatsApp message, or your email address if you write to us by email.
• Visit statistics: which pages are viewed and which planner steps are completed, counted without identifying you.

We do not take payments on this website, so we do not collect card or bank details here.

The trip planner

Your planner answers are saved in your own browser so you can come back to them. They are not sent to us until you choose to send your plan on WhatsApp or by email. You can clear them with “Start a new plan” or by clearing your browser data.

How we use your information

• To reply to you, plan your day and send a written quote.
• To arrange your trip with the operator and keep you updated until the day itself.
• To answer questions afterwards and keep a record of the enquiry or booking.
• To understand how the site is used and make it work better, using counts rather than individual profiles.

By sending us your plan or a message, you agree that we may use it for these purposes. We do not use it for advertising and we do not sell it.

Who we share it with

• The local operator who runs your trip. They receive what the trip needs: your name, dates, group size, children’s ages, pickup details and any special needs.
• WhatsApp, which carries your messages. Its own privacy policy applies to messages sent through it.
• Our website services. The site is hosted on Vercel, and we use Vercel Speed Insights to measure page speed and Plausible Analytics to count visits.

We share information beyond this only if the law requires it.

Analytics and cookies

Plausible Analytics is cookie-free and does not collect personal data or follow you across other websites. Vercel Speed Insights measures how quickly pages load. The site does not set advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry messages for as long as we need them to arrange your trip, answer questions afterwards and keep the records we are required to keep. After that we delete or anonymise them. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.

Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) of the Philippines, you have the right to:

• be told how your personal information is used;
• ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
• ask us to correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
• object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent;
• ask us to delete or block it, and to receive it in a usable format; and
• claim compensation where you have been harmed by a misuse of your information.

Message us and we will reply to your request within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Philippines’ National Privacy Commission at privacy.gov.ph.

Children

This website is for adults planning trips. When you give us a child’s age so the crew can suggest a suitable route and pace, we use it only for that purpose.

Changes to this page

If we change how we handle your information, we update this page and its date. Our terms and booking conditions explain how bookings work.
